Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada on 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug
Chalke. She is the middle child. She has an older sister Natasha Chalke and one
younger sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut in a TV-made film
called City Boy (1992). Following her first film was a success, Sarah
auditioned for the role "Becky" of Roseanne (1988). The show was in
search of an actor to replace Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college.
Sarah completed her high school graduation in 1995, while filming the 1994-1995
season of Roseanne (1988). Sarah also starred alongside Jim Varney (1994) in
Ernest Goes to School (1994). She starred in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand
against Fear(1996). In both films Sarah played the role of Krista Wilson, an
athlete. Sarah was invited to play in the 1998 show Nothing Too Good for a
Cowboy. It was a year after Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a
Cowboy (1998) The show also had a basis. She assumed Becky's (1988) role from
Alicia Goranson. She said she wanted to quit acting and go to college. [2001]
(1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sister on Roseanne (1988) but, she is
actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony where she
received an award for the top single of 1999. September 1999: Appeared at age
of eight in Vancouver's theatre productions. Can speak fluently in French and
German. She volunteers at a hospice where patients with terminal illness are
treated . She also works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her leisure
moments, Chalke prefers cooking with her friends (especially Thai and sushi) as
well as playing the guitar or hiking, ski (she's an instructor) or
snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is an attorney and both parents
operate an adoption agency for children. Her parents took her to China to
facilitate the adoptions of multiple orphans.
