Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora, a British musician and singer. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari), and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. Her family relocated to the United Kingdom at age 1. She was raised in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and the following year, St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She sang from an early age. In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. She was chosen to audition for Eurovision Your Country Needs You the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However she was unable to participate in the contest after just a couple of episodes as she didn't feel confident enough. Ora has released her first album in 2007, when she was featured on Craig David’s song entitled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance on "Where’s Your Love" featuring TinchyStryder. Ora began to sing in bars in and around London In 2009, A&R reported to Roc Nation about Ora, shortly after Ora traveled to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora was featured in Jay-Z's 2009 music video for "Young Forever" as well as "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was enthralled by Ora's talent, and was able to sign her to Roc Nation. In which Ora was featured in a commercial promoting Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was the owner of a pub, and she began her singing career at that same pub. She credits Gwen Stefani as a major influence on her manner of speaking and her band No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996) as one of her most cherished songs.Her 2016 video for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of the novel that has won the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel of 1999.She was thought of to play Iris West in Justice League (2017) prior to the time that Kiersey Clemons was cast. The actress is close to Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
